Designing in the Central Valley
Valley projects are shaped by heat and water rather than by slope. Reference evapotranspiration here is the highest in the state, which moves the MWELO water budget from a compliance checkbox to the thing that decides how much lawn a design can carry — and makes the turf-replacement rebate worth real money. Flat sites still need grade: drainage on a half-percent fall is a contour problem, and the 1–2 ft interval is what makes it legible.
