Requirements
- Apply and get approval before removing any lawn.
- Include a rain garden or other stormwater feature.
- Mulch the converted area.
- Irrigation in the project area converted to drip or high-efficiency rotating nozzles, or capped and hand-watered; no overhead spray.

- Apply on Irvine Ranch Water District’s site and wait for approval. Lawn removed before approval usually does not qualify.
- Remove the lawn and plant to the requirements above.
- Send what the program page asks for once the work is done.
