Requirements
- Apply and get approval before removing any lawn.
- Mulch the converted area.
- Replace eligible lawn with low-water-use, climate-appropriate plants covering at least 50% of the converted area once fully grown; permeable hardscape may not exceed 50%. Only non-invasive Very Low, Low or Moderate water-use species (WUCOLS); no High. Lawn must have been maintained and irrigated (brown lawns from drought watering cuts count); bare dirt, and lawn removed before the City's pre-inspection, do not. No artificial turf.
