Requirements
- Customers of LA County Waterworks Districts 21, 37 or 40; Districts 29, 36 and Marina del Rey have their own requirements.
- The grass must be maintained, not overgrown with weeds or brush; brown or yellow grass still qualifies (checked against historical aerial photos), and customers may stop watering it right away.
- Six months to finish the conversion; the rebate is paid once the project is complete.
- New landscaping may include native or drought-tolerant plants, mulch or decomposed granite, rock, un-grouted stepping stones and permeable hardscape. Artificial turf is not eligible.
